Rule of Crumb was established in 2013 to offer a range of great tasting, quality, gluten free items.
Colum McLornan and Claire Hunter have worked in the hospitality industry for many years and see the growth in demand for gluten free items. When a family member was diagnosied with Coeliacs disease they realised how limited the range of gluten free items was in the UK market. There was a wide range of breads and cakes, but very little else.
Together with CAFRE Food and Argiculture college in N. Ireland, we developed recipes for our range of gluten free products. Our recipe ideas were tasted by panels of consumers and we adjusted the recipes until the quality of the items was excellent.
In 2014 we developed the range and have been contacting retailers and food service companies throughout the world to sell our products. Our products have been selling in over 50 outlets in Ireland since late 2014 and in 2015 the range of outlets has increased.
